Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker

Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker is the fourth expansion pack for the popular online role-playing game Final Fantasy XIV. Developed and published by Square Enix, it is available on macOS, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Windows. Released on December 7, 2021, Endwalker came more than two years after the previous expansion, Shadowbringers, due to production delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Following in the tradition of its predecessors, the expansion features Naoki Yoshida as director and producer, ensuring a continuation of the high-quality gaming experience. Endwalker's soundtrack was composed by Masayoshi Soken, adding an exciting musical backdrop to the game.

Endwalker was released as a standalone expansion pack, aimed at existing players of the game. However, Square Enix has also updated the "Complete Edition" to include all expansions, including Endwalker, making it an attractive option for new players as well. This full version was originally released with Heavensward, a previous expansion pack.

How do you unlock the Manderville missions?

The Manderville Weapons quest chain is a series of quests introduced in version 6.25 of Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker. These quests are specifically designed for level 90 players. However, it is important to note that this quest chain can be easily skipped if the necessary prerequisites are not met.

To begin the Manderville Weapons quest chain, players must first complete all of Hildibrand's side quests. Patch 6.25 added some additional Hildibrand related quests to the "Somehow even more Hildibrand" quest chain. These quests will become available after completing all other Hildibrand quests. Additionally, players must have completed the main story mission titled "Endwalker".

The location of the Hildibrand 6.25 mission in Endwalker is Radz-at-Han, with coordinates X: 11.8 and Y: 11.2. To start the "Make It Manderville" quest chain, players need to follow these steps:

  • Complete all of Hildibrand's quests.
  • Talk to Manderville's servant in Radz-At-Han.
  • Talk to Jubrunnah.
  • Compra 3 mantoritas.
  • Return to the mission.

Game Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker

The gameplay and quest structure in Endwalker is very similar to the base game. Like many other MMORPGs, players interact with each other in a persistent world that reacts to their actions. To address stat-related issues such as overflow bugs caused by excessively large enemy health pools, Endwalker features stat reduction, often referred to as "stat squashing" by MMO players. This ensures a balanced experience.

Endwalker presents two new works. The first is the Sage, a healer class that uses magical items called Nouliths, inspired by Funnels from the Gundam franchise. Sages direct etheric energy to create barriers and enhance their offensive abilities. The second new job is the Reaper, an armored melee fighter who wields a scythe.

Reapers can summon Avatars of the Void for increased power. Many other jobs are receiving updates and changes, including a complete overhaul of the Summoner job, major improvements to the Monk job, and the introduction of new abilities for various other jobs. The expansion also brings a complete overhaul to the player versus player (PvP) system.

PvP skills for all jobs are being completely reworked to streamline the experience. Additionally, a new "small scale" PvP mode called Crystalline Conflict is being introduced, while the previous "Feast" mode is being retired. Rewards that were previously exclusive to the celebration are now available by participating in the Crystal Conflict.

Estinien, a character who became an ally during the events leading up to Endwalker, can now be chosen as a companion through the Trust system introduced in Shadowbringers. A later update allows players to use the Trust system in A Realm Reborn and Heavensward dungeons, with plans to include Stormblood dungeons as well. This allows players to enjoy Main Story Quest as a primarily single player experience.

Following the expansion's release, additional content is introduced, including the Myths of the Realm raid series, which delves deeper into the myths and legends surrounding the deities worshiped in Eorzea. Another series of raids called Pandaemonium centers on a mysterious location connected to a previous competitor, Lahabrea.

Similar to the changes made to Shadowbringers, some main story quests are receiving changes, such as replacing the "Cape Westwind" trial with a single player instance and restructuring the "Castrum Meridianum" and "The Praetorium" dungeons to improve its progression. Endwalker patch 6.2 introduces Island Sanctuary, a farming simulation mode in which players can grow a garden on a deserted island, raise animals, and interact with pets.

Island Sanctuary offers a 'slow life' experience, providing a relaxing solo activity without the pressures of the competition. Additional updates include changes to the main story quests, such as replacing the "Steps of Faith" trial with a single player instance and tweaking boss mechanics in early dungeons such as "The Aery".

Endwalker expands player housing by introducing a new housing area called Empyreum in the city-state of Ishgard. To address concerns about the availability of homes, there is a lottery-based home acquisition method. More cameras are assigned to player guilds known as Free Societies to improve access to housing.

Patch 6.18 expands the World Visit system, allowing players to travel to other data centers in their region, greatly increasing opportunities for player interaction. Oceania region-specific data centers are being added to improve player connectivity in places like New Zealand and Australia, separate from the data centers destined for Japan.
